Women’s Equality Day is a day honoring and drawing attention to the struggle for women’s equality in society. Women’s Equality Day is focused on the efforts for equal rights for women in the US. The similar event known as International Women’s Day is international in scope and is celebrated around the world.

The Department of Commerce organized a seminar on 18 th August 2023 in connection with Women’s Equality Day to discuss the significance of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (Posh) Act in promoting gender equality in the workplace. The session handled by Adv Elizabeth Mathew ( High Court of Kerala). Princiapl Dr. Murugan. R preside the function. Ms Shahana.K.H delivered  welcome address.Vice Principal Lagheesh.V.M and IQAC Co-ordinator Ms Betsy Manuel conveyed greetings and Ms Bushara .V. B proposed Vote of thanks.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the Act’s provisions and encourage its effective implementation across various sectors.
