A One Day Faculty Development Programme was organised by IQAC on 30th September 2023, in the College Seminar Hall. Faculty Development Program (FDP) is a structured professional development program designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of faculty members in higher education institutions.

The FDP started with a prayer song at 9:30am. Dr. Murugan R, The Principal, presided over the function and Adv. M. The FDP was handled by Dr. T. O Poulose, an eminent academician having more than 31 years of post graduate teaching experience in India and abroad. Dr. T. O. Poulose spoke about the challenges and responses in the field of professional education. Teaching is one of the most important professions, which aims at building a society with responsible and resourceful citizens and this is possible to a teacher through effective teaching and class room management.

In the fore noon session, he took the class on how to become a great teacher and explained different teaching strategies which can be applied in our daily life. In the afternoon session, he covered a range of topics, including how to overcome the obstacles in teaching field, innovative teaching techniques, academic leadership skills and life skills. 42 participants from our college and nearby colleges actively participated in the FDP and it was really helpful and beneficial for the faculty members to get updated with the latest trends and developments in their respective fields, improving their teaching effectiveness and fostering a culture of continuous learning within academic institutions. We concluded the FDP with a valedictory function which includes interactive session and certificate distribution. Ms. Betsy Manuel, IQAC Coordinator, welcomed the gathering and Mr. Lagheesh V.
