In connection with International Women’s Day, MES M.K. Mackar Pillay College for Advanced Studies, Edathala organized a Self Defence Training Programme on 06 March 2026. The programme was jointly organized by the Women’s Cell and NSS in association with the Kerala Police – Ernakulam Portal to promote awareness about women’s safety and empowerment. The event was presided over by Dr. Rajmohan Kadavil, Principal, and inaugurated by Adv. Ismail Khan PA, Secretary and Correspondent, College Managing Committee. The keynote session and training were led by Ms. Sindhu MK, Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, and Ms. Biji KN, Senior Civil Police Officer, who provided practical guidance on self-defence techniques and personal safety. The programme encouraged students to develop confidence, awareness, and the ability to protect themselves, marking a meaningful celebration of women’s strength and empowerment.
