The Nature Club, in association with the Department of Biosciences, organized a program on Organic Farming on 19th February at 11:00 AM. The event aimed to create awareness about sustainable agricultural practices and to promote eco-friendly farming methods among students.
The program was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rajmohan Kadavil, principal of the college by planting a sapling, symbolizing the commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living. The planting ceremony marked the beginning of the event and highlighted the importance of organic practices in preserving soil health and biodiversity.The program was coordinated by Ms. Sheethal Rajeev, Convenor of the Nature Club, who ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The session emphasized the benefits of organic farming, including reduced chemical usage, improved soil fertility, and the promotion of healthy and sustainable food systems.
Ms. Krishna Raj, c and all the faculties of the Department of Biosciences were present at the program. The event was attended by all the members of the Nature Club and students of the Bioscience Department, whose active participation added enthusiasm and significance to the occasion. The event concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible agricultural practices.
