The Department of Management at MES M. K. Mackar Pillay College for Advanced Studies, Edathala, successfully organized the highly anticipated Runfinity Season 2 Marathon. This event, aimed at promoting health, fitness, and community engagement, provided participants with a unique platform to challenge themselves through a 10 KM race. With over 200 participants from across various regions, the marathon turned out to be a grand success, showcasing the enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship of all involved.
To create buzz around the event, a press meet was held on November 6, 2024, where details of the marathon were shared with the media. The event received widespread attention, being covered in leading newspapers and featured on local news channels, which generated excitement and anticipation among the public. The press meet was attended by the college managing committee chairman, Adv. M Ahamed Kunju, secretary and correspondent Adv. M M Salim, vice chairman P K A Jabbar, principal Dr. Murugan R, vice principal Lagheesh V M, and the Runfinity Season 2 coordinators Shahana P S, Shijitha C M, and Aji Daniyal.
The marathon kicked off early, with participants gathering at 5:00 AM for registration. A professional warm-up session was conducted to prepare everyone for the race, followed by an inspiring flag-off ceremony at 6:00 AM. The motto for the event, “Together We Move, Together We Heal,” emphasized unity and collective wellness, which set the tone for the day. Dr. Rahim Fazal, Chairman of the Standing Committee, MES Self-Financing Colleges, had the honor of flagging off the participants, marking the start of a thrilling and empowering race.
One of the highlights of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where the top performers in both the male and female categories were honored. Runfinity Season 2 was not just an event to promote physical fitness but also served as a platform to strengthen community bonds.
