On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5, 2026), the Department of Biosciences, in association with NSS, Nature Club, and IQAC of MES M.K Mackar Pillay College for Advanced Studies, Edathala, organized a Sapling Distribution Programme in the morning. The initiative was conducted under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”

Saplings were distributed to the Principal, Management representatives and various departments of the college to promote environmental awareness and encourage tree planting. The programme emphasized the importance of conserving nature, increasing green cover, and fostering sustainable practices within the campus and the community.
