MES M.K Mackar Pillay College for Advanced Studies, Department of English organized a half day seminar on “How to improve communicative skills in English” on 16 June 2022, in the College mini auditorium. The seminar started at 10 am with the welcome address by Ms. Husna Hussain. Opening remarks and introduction of the program was given by principal Dr. Bruce Mathew. He highlighted the importance of English language as a soft skill to brighten students career. Mr. Anand .k (faculty in Rajagiri College,Kalamassery)gave lecture on different levels of English language acquisition and the ways in which it can be improved. The seminar focused on improving English language skill as a part of professional mandatory.
Class was divided into two sessions third year B.com computer science and BBA students attended the first session ( 10 am -11.15am)and third year B.com Finance and Taxation and second and third year BSc students attended the second session (11.30 to 12.45). Students actively participated in all the icebreaking activities . The session ended with a vote of thanks by Akhila manoharan .
