Nurturing Language, Literature, and Communication Skills
Established in 2012, our department is dedicated to providing students with a transformative educational experience that goes beyond mere knowledge acquisition. Inspired by the famous quote, “Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire,” we believe in igniting a passion for the English language and literature in our students. In line with our commitment to academic excellence, we offer a comprehensive range of programs. Our flagship program, the Master of Arts (MA) in English Language and Literature, was introduced in 2013. This two-year program delves deep into language structure, literary theories, critical analysis, and creative writing, equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed in a dynamic and ever-evolving field.
In addition, the Department of English offers English common courses for all undergraduate programs offered at the college. These courses ensure that students from diverse disciplines receive a solid foundation in English language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. By emphasizing real-world applications, we empower our students to use their English skills effectively in various professional contexts.
